Postgraduate coursework degrees in cultural materials conservation:

Postgraduate Diploma (Cultural Materials Conservation)
A one-year program that allows students to undertake a research project in cultural material conservation, and to gain considerable knowledge in an area of cultural material conservation and engage in critical assessment of the major theoretical or practical tenets.

Graduate Certificate in Art Authentication
A 12-month (part time) course that provides students with a general introduction to key concepts and issues in art authentication. Helps students develop a general understanding of the main art historical, curatorial, legal, ethical and analytical issues relating to art fraud and the processes of art authentication.

Masters By Coursework And Minor Thesis (Cultural Materials Conservation)
This Masters program provides students with a professional qualification in cultural material conservation. It is the only one of its kind in Australia and the region, combining both the theory and practice of cultural material conservation. The course emphasises the philosophical, intellectual and scientific aspects of cultural material conservation, and draws on the combined expertise of staff of the Centre, the Arts and Science Faculties, and the Ian Potter Museum of Art.

Postgraduate Certificate in Photographic Conservation
This course provides a professional qualification in photographic conservation, and is the only one of its kind in Australia and the region, combining both the theory and practice of photographic conservation. The program emphasises the scientific and technical aspects of photographic materials deterioration and conservation. It draws on the combined expertise of staff of the Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation and internationally recognised leaders in the field.
