International Partners & Networks
The Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation is committed to strong international engagement, and particularly values the work it undertakes with partners with close regional partners in the Asia-Pacific. Research programs are currently partnered with the National Heritage Board, Singapore, National Art Gallery of Malaysia, National Gallery in Bangkok, Fine Arts Department Thailand, Silpakorn University Thailand, SEAMEO-SPAFA, the University of the Philippines, Getty Conservation Institute USA, Tate Conservation UK, Victoria University NZ.
The Centre has partnered UNESCO and the Ministry of Education and Culture in Timor Leste in the development and delivery of conservation projects and education programs for staff of the National Museum of East Timor. CCMC also has an ongoing relationship with the Dioecese of Tagbilaran and Provincial Government of Bohol in the Philippines. In Vietnam, CCMC works closely with the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum and the National Museum of Ethnology. Arts Victoria and DFAT have provided ongoing support for a number of these programs. The Centre's internship program attracts overseas students on a regular basis.

Museum to Museum Partnership Program for Timor-Leste
This program was developed under the ‘UNESCO Programme for the Preservation of Endangered Movable Cultural Properties’ to promote the protection, conservation and presentation of “endangered movable cultural properties” in Timor-Leste.
The Characterisation of Western Artists' Materials in Tropical Climates
This project involves five partners based across Australia and Asia. They include the CCMC and the National Gallery of Victoria in Australia; the National Art Gallery in Malaysia; the National Heritage Board in Singapore; the Vargas Museum at the University of the Philippines and the National Gallery of Fine Arts in Bangkok.
The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology
CCMC paintings conservators presented a seminar and workshop on the surveying of museum collections and the museum environment.
The Philippines Collaborative Conservation projects with the Diocese of Tagbilaran and the Provincial Government of Bohol
Since 1999 the Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation has been working with the Diocese of Tagbilaran and the Provincial Government of Bohol, to engage the local community in the preservation of cultural heritage according to conservation projects identified in their Bohol Arts and Cultural Heritage (BACH) Code.
