Textiles
A trained and experienced conservator undertakes a broad range of treatments. An example is the preparation of flat textiles for display using a suitable wall-mounted hanging system that can include a frame. Textiles can also be cleaned, repaired and creases removed as necessary. The textiles conservator is also experienced in the mounting of costume items. Advice can be given on and textiles prepared for storage using the most the appropriate methods and materials.
We are happy to conduct surveys, provide condition reports on objects and assist in exhibition gallery work.
